Hello! I’m Fiona McDonnell (she/her) a freelance Irish illustrator from Belfast. My style blends classic comic book & contemporary design motifs to create bold and distinctive illustrations. I’ve worked with a wide variety of commercial and private clients, and specialise in advertising, branding, editorial and heritage projects.
I wouldn’t be where I am without DIY art movements, and continue to do my bit for artist collectives, exhibition curation, queer underground club-nights, and the Irish music scene. Bringing all this together as a speaker and facilitator for Universities, Belfast Design Week, Visual Artists Ireland and Poster House NYC.
Selected Clients:
Facebook, Dazed, LUSH, Jameson Whiskey, Little White Lies, National Museums NI, Algonquin Press, The National Archives, An Post, Little Museum of Dublin, The Dead Rabbit, BPM Energy, Irish Arts Centre NYC, Goethe-Institute, NI Screen, Culture Trip, Belfast City Council, Queen's University, Uplift Ireland, The Naughton Gallery, Outburst Queer Arts Festival
